May 1st - Wow Sunday again!

nice Vanda orchid from Thailand
I am not sure what your weather is like in the part of the world that you call home, ours is plain awful. May 1st and it is -4C, snow and blowing snow and terrible road conditions. Our poor tulips and early perennials will be set back to say the least. Apparently it will warm up tomorrow, but still!
The big day !
Deb is not the best today at all. We considered a trip to Cancer Care last evening about 8ish, but she rallied a bit and got some sleep. Today, she is very very weak and not drinking enough fluids (according to head nurse Beattie) or eating very much at all. Tucker keeps her good company as I waddle around the house, laundry, grocery shopping and the regular stuff of Sundays. It was my plan to go into work for 4hrs at noon, but Deb needs me here today for sure, so I worked a bit from home.
Tomorrow there are more new gardeners arriving so it is important to be there to greet them and send them off with their respective supervisors.
Chris and Lizz made it back from their evening in Brandon, a social for a friend. The highways from Brandon West were closed due to white out conditions, ice and blowing snow... we did worry a lot about that trip too. She worked at 1pm so blew in, changed and blew out. Christopher is working until 6:15 so we will have a later dinner when he gets home.
this one kind of has a face - can you see it?
Tomorrow Deb and I will head to radiology and begin the countdown to Friday, the last external treatment. This will be a grand day for sure! We have only three more internal treatments to go, one this Friday and the other two on the following Fridays, so there is light at the end of this horrid tunnel.

not much longer and this will be our vista
Thanks for the cards, calls and well wishing. Keep your positive energies focused on Deb, she does appreciate it all.
