Day 13 - Saturday

What a great day we had today! Lizz was home until about 2ish, Chris and I had our day out together shopping, lunch and a zoo visit.  So cool both the African Lions were out and active so we got to get up close and personal with them both. Our lion exhibit is really spectacular in that a visitor can get so close to them. Both being born in captivity and hand reared, they are very used to people and often flash a "high five" at the glass.

Yes another "wonky" orchid pic
Mom stayed home and for the most part in bed watching TV and enjoying the peace and quiet. Lizz informed me by text that Mom was sleeping and that is a good thing. The radiation therapy really zaps the energy from you not to mention the ugly side effects.

Dinner was prepared and enjoyed (to a point I might add) by Deb... it is sort of like she is pregnant again with odd cravings and tastes. So Tucker is up and downstairs hoping that what Mom didn't finish would end up in his bowl, and perhaps how does he eat the smoothie that is on the next course. It is amusing to watch how he protects Deb until there is food in the region, then the gloves are off and no loyalty exists.

I suspect that this will be an early evening too, TV is ok and we have a library of DVDs to choke a full grown horse, so there is no shortage of entertainment options.

Tomorrow is Sunday and always a peaceful time at our home. We shall see if dinner will be at the table in the dinning room as per usual or will we eat in bed... really when you look at it, what does it matter?
I am hoping to pop out for a few beers with a long time buddy of mine tomorrow to get caught up on "stuff".
Lizz is off tonight to join her Chris for dinner at his home as his parents are now back from Palm Springs. The rest of us will just melt into the evening celebrating the day and all the great things that took place today.

Wishing you all a pleasant and joyous weekend or Monday in Aussie land... we are all just fine here! Thanks for your kind thoughts, great energies, cards, calls and gifts... each and every contact is very much appreciated.
