Hurray, Over the 50% mark now!

Inside Alice's Wonderland at work.
What a great day today, tons of sunshine and our regular Monday afternoon "date" . As per our usual routine, I stopped in at the Pharmacy on the way home from work at 10:30 to retrieve Deb's prescription pre chemo. They are always glad to see me as the prescription is only 3 pills over packed and a stout bill. "Have a nice day".

We got the our spot in Cancer Care and had a wee wait, which is customary, then into the big room. Sadly the room was full of folks in similar and most cases worse condition it seemed than Deb.
The staff are excellent from the volunteer who ply you with cookies and juice, tea or coffee ( and we are there at lunchtime always. Once Deb is plugged in, hooked up and the pumps primed a dose of anti-nausea medication flows first and she pops three other pills for the same thing.

Today was a very special day as my friend arranged for music therapy by the resident harpist. How perfectly civilized is that? Lovely harp music playing, Deb into her book which she is really enjoying and me bing bangin on my Blackberry between pages of my book.
Smiles all over the place today!
As I looked around, everyone else looked very sick, you know that sort of cement color to their skin and darkish circles under their eyes... not Deb, pink and rosey cheeked, full head of hair and albeit her feet not touching the floor, sprawled out in a comfy chair, wide awake. We do have a lot to be thankful for.

The date proceeded as someone had a craving for A&W Mama Burger, Onion Rings and Diet (why diet) pop. After complete satiation, our grease and sodium fix for the week, we popped into the pet store on a search for a fish, yes another fish. Jose died this month, we think, as he really wasn't much of performer. Alas, not a fish to our liking so armed with a supply of denta stix for the Tucker man, we headed home pooped.
Tonight at least I know that I will sleep, Deb on the other hand is hopped up on so much medication that she may be re-grouting the neighbours brick work, or knitting an airplane hangar.

Take care and we both hope that you are enjoying the daily news of this blog. Pop us off a note, Deb loves to get mail too.
