Mondays generally have a bad wrap; post weekend let downs, back to the regularity of the workday or just plain Monday blues. For Deb and I Mondays mean chemo day, heavy duty medication day with the lightest effort (medically at least) radiation. Today, Monday April 4th was no exception.
| Sunset at the cottage. A proper Monday! |
After a particularly rough night, Deb was not looking forward to what Monday can bring; her tummy and south from there had endured a long, intermittent sleep/wake period of queasiness and uneasiness. No need to go into the details of side affects, but the day looked long ahead of the both of us.
The good news is that the weather is clear, warming and the puddles are disappearing finally. I actually saw some green grass today on my walk to the store. Tucker is enjoying it as well, he feels much about the puddles as I do. I go into work on Mondays for a few hours in the morning, but must pick up Deb's meds so that she can take them at 11am, so not a lot gets accomplished in the office. However, in that I can work from home or even from the hospital keeps me in touch. Nice that the Cancer Ward allows the use of cell phones, Blackberries and handheld devices whereas no other part of the hospital does.
Our cruise is still very much on and as a matter of fact the radiology team told Deb that she should have all her treatments completed in good time to enjoy northern Europe. I have worked a bit on my presentations with one completed and the second of five well in hand. The research takes some time and is fascinating, the actual PowerPoint is more fussing about with the info. Don't want to put too much information on the screen as it is distracting for the audience.
