Sunday - A Day at Home

brought to you from this week's sponsor
Ok, not the most artistic endeavour for the blog, but so totally appropriate. Today is yet another "banos" sort of day. Deb is really doing ok with it all, but a bit weary of the dash to the lou.
Today really was an ok day when you add it all up. We heard from family, our own gang were all doing things and the household ambled on as it usually does.
Lizz and Chris (BF) were here for coffee and Tim Bits a nice treat from Chris; Tucker of course enjoyed his lil bits too.  Christopher worked his regular shift coming home to Dad's dinner of chicken and other surprises.
I had a great chat with Linda today a dear, and long time friend who spends her days in ICU so is used to the medical world for sure. Really nice to have her ask how the rest of us are doing, because this situation is so all about the whole gang of us.
Today I worked away on a couple of my presentations for Scanda-hoovia aboard the Celebrity Constellation June 15th. I may get around to posting our actual schedule one day, but for now, just know that we are sure going to Amsterdam and beyond at the end of this battle.

As Sundays go, today was pretty normal with the exception that Deb spent most of it, rather all of it in bed with Tucker.   I shopped a bit for a few essential provisions but for the most part stayed home.Deb called me Cinderella <lol>

This is what I consider my way to spend Sunday, in the hot tub with a nice cool bevvie... not happening today. When things get a bit over bearing, this is my happy place for sure. Mind you, I have lost tons of weight since this photo... not.
better days, a toast to the Doldrums
I am writing this information at sunset or past, so this photo means something to me for sure. Our sunset tonight was nothing like this, but still special. All is well in the house, closed up, comfy  and we are together.
could  be St. Elmo' s fire, but just a typical sunset at sea in
Tomorrow is chemo day with all that is with that, but at the very least
Deb and I will have lots of time together.I only go in to work for a couple of hours then off to the hospital for the rest of the day. Tuesday is meet the doctor day, and an assessment; but we will be more than 50% completed by then...wow!
Nepenthes 'Rajah' from my collection. How cool is that?

Just love these plants as they are so adaptive and strong, not unlike Deb.
Grevillea, Australian native plant
They can pretty well handle anything that is thrown at them without apparent stresses. Hmmm, sounds familiar.
The Grevillia from Australia which we both love, has lasted on the evolutionary scale for eons... without as much as a hiccup. We are hoping that after all the changes thrown at Deb, that she too will be as strong and resilient as this plant..

We are both off to bed to watch TV and chill for the evening. Dinner was served "en lit" with all the trimmings. We do have a great life and celebrate absolutely every moment, as I hope that you do too.
If you are having a particularly bad day the invitation is wide open for you to join us along with the many others in the Cancer Care ward of our hospital. Your perspective changes dramatically, believe me.
Have a great day all.
