Saturday April 16th

waiting for us and summer
Saturday was a great day for the rest of us, but Deb had a slower, more restful day for sure. Being out the night before and Saturday was cause for lots of down time. She and Tucker watched a lot of TV in our room and generally had a slow day.
Christopher and I headed out for lunch after making Mom hers, ending up at his fav mall just a few blocks away. My intention was to spend the afternoon shopping/browsing the mall with him but it became perfectly obvious that he had different plans. Once lunch was scarffed down, I got the old heave ho, and off he went to browse on his own. I'm not certain that he hasn't got his eye on some young woman at the mall.
So overcome with guilt I decided that some retail therapy of my own would be excellent, so I boarded my trusty van and headed for Rona... a favorite haunt.
I picked Deb up an Easter Lily (requested) as well as another Oriental Lily to make up for the boo boo of bringing home pansies from work, without faces on them! Can you just imagine?
Christopher and I planned a rendezvous time and place getting us back home to share our stories with Mom before I had to drive him to work.
Deb wisely decided to stay at home and just me attend the social function at the Conservatory. This worked out well as she was having a very slow day and I was bagged too. Christopher was off work and 9pm and the Conservatory is a few minutes from his store. So both of us were home before 9:30 .
I joined Deb in bed shortly thereafter and didn't even mind the TV going.

Sunday will be a quiet day as well with the requisite planning for the week, work scheduling and if I get my big old butt into gear, work on my presentations for the cruise in June.

Some of the 'Gals' on the island.
Thanks for the calls, cards and good wishes, they are working.
