Thursday - Art Opening "The Outing"

Thursday was another great day! Lizz accomplished the grocery shopping and did very well I might add. Once Christopher and I arrived home from work around 1pm, Deb was napping but feeling well. She knew that tonight was a reception at our conservatory for an art opening in the gallery. One of my employees is a wonderful artist and was granted space for her exhibition. Our curator finds her work super and her range of medium very broad.
She actually is our topiary technician, a great job for sure. She designs and plants such 3D living sculptures a eight, six foot frogs who are displayed in our children's garden. They all play giant instruments to form the "froggie bottom boys band". I will get some photos when they are unveiled this year on May 16th.

Lori Lofgren (artist) and Deb on her 1st outing
The evening was lovely and Deb got a chance for major hugs from my staff who attended. As you can see she is the picture of health, rosy cheeks (no wine, only water) and looking very much Deb. The pieces in the background Lori developed to music, as with all of the other work displayed. I think that she will sell all of them for sure.
We stayed for about 90 minutes enough time to chat with everyone, enjoy the buzz of the evening yet not get overtired.
We are looking forward to Friday, at least I am for sure, so that I may stay home for the weekend. Patty, Chris Stewart's mom has prepared a meal for us, so we don't even have to think about that. Friday will be a very busy and important day at work with oodles of human resource issues and new assignments as we progress (no, jump) into the first season of operations under the Conservancy governance.Exciting times for sure, but with all the change not everyone will be happy for sure.

Celebrate how well Deb is doing, I tell her that she should be the new poster girl for Cancer Care Manitoba.

Take good care of yourselves, hug someone you love and keep those cards and letters coming. Deb's journey to wellness box isn't full yet, but it is well on the way. Thanks for everything!
