Saturday, A Day Without Treatment

Today is Saturday, April 2nd and the Beattie household is in relative peace. Deb trundled down the stairs oh, let's say 9ish... after a relatively good night' sleep. Actually when you get to be our age, a good night's sleep no matter what is a good thing, right?
Today we felt that it would be a good idea to try a little shopping before noon and only around the corner at one of our favourite little shops. We decided to drive, as silly as that sounds, but Deb's energy is certainly not what it was, so a jaunt of about 1 block was enough. We had a hoot; Deb spoke with the gemologist/crystal person who we have chatted many times with before. She was devastated at our news and suggested immediately that Deb carry or wear Amethyst and Carnelian for healing purposes. So, I got Deb a gorgeous new ring as well as a bracelet of a rich, juicy amethyst, it better work!

New Amethyst ring and bracelet today!
As a matter of fact, if you wear Amethyst or Carnelian, these stones will also help with a  myriad of problems.
Saturday is typically a day when the house gets a cleaning, the groceries are purchased, kids get to and from work blah, blah, blah. This Saturday was considerably different. Deb and I enjoyed a light breakfast together, Lizz joined us for a wee while, and then we just sat for a bit and chatted. Thereafter, each of lumbered on into what we felt was important for the time but still, not a typical Saturday for sure. I worked on my Scandinavian presentations, Deb watch a movie or 6 and the kids went about their business.
Deb is much better in the earlier part of the day so we took advantage of the time.
We actually popped into the Pharma Plus for a few things as well after our indulgence at the gem store.
the requisite turkey pic.. we have hundreds I am sure... and tomorrow another bird another photo op!
The remainder of the afternoon was pretty quiet, even though the sun was doing its best to clear up the day.
Calls from family to chat, a regular weekend ritual, are always appreciated and a good chance to just vent, bitch, catch up etc. We don't usually discuss the swamp that we are wading through, but always the concern is there.
Ken is ok too! Just sittin here waitin!

Tonight, I have made a nice dinner with a special request from Deb for a few items. Lizz is working late and will take in a cinema I believe; Christopher and I played an awesome game on his system today, I so totally lost in the boxing match!
Tucker ambles on as the resident slouch, moving from chesterfield to chesterfield, chair to bed ad naseum! Quite the little watch dog...not!

Tomorrow we promise more Turkey pics as that is the menu.... stayed tuned for sure.
Again, many thanks for your kind words, calls, thoughts, prayers and gifts... all are priceless indeed.

Deb and Buddy at the Cottage. A favourite pose for both.
We shall see what this evening and tomorrow brings!
